Our Origin
After twenty years in HR, Misti Mowery created something unexpected: a reputation as the person who could resolve conflicts that others couldn't. Colleagues, former clients, and professional contacts began referring their personal disputes to her - not just workplace issues, but contract disagreements, family business conflicts, and civil disputes as well.
What started as informal "favor asking" evolved into a steady stream of referrals. Misti was successfully resolving conflicts through structured conversation and practical problem-solving, helping people avoid both expensive litigation and costly mediation.
Our Evolution
In early 2025, she formalized her hobby into a business. But as she worked with dispute resolution clients, Misti discovered something crucial: most workplace conflicts stemmed from the absence of basic HR infrastructure. Clients would resolve their immediate dispute, then ask, "How do we prevent this from happening again?"
The answer was comprehensive HR support, which became Neutral Ground's second service division as we worked to develop on demand HR services. But we noticed another gap: startup founders and small business owners needing much more than HR support, but a well rounded cafeteria plan of business tools to allow them the best chances of starting strong and avoiding the potential for disputes.
This led to Neutral Ground's third evolution: startup-focused services aimed at providing affordable, on-demand support without the enterprise-level costs. We now serves the complete business lifecycle: startups needing foundational support, employees and employers needing HR consulting, and individuals/businesses needing affordable dispute resolution in the workplace.
The final piece of the puzzle is civil dispute resolution. It became clear just how many people are underserved by the legal system—especially when attorneys decline cases due to lower financial payouts. This unmet need revealed a clear opportunity to offer accessible, practical solutions. Civil dispute resolution is now the newest focus of the business and is quickly emerging as one of its most in-demand service lines.
